The slightly earlier start date is a result of a new district-wide calendar unanimously approved by the OUSD Board of Education. The change was made during the board’s regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
The district asks that all OUSD families please take note of these changes in order to plan accordingly for the start of school in August 2013. For questions regarding the calendar change, please call 760-966-4008. Wellness Policy The OUSD Student Wellness Policy focuses on nutrition and physical education. Mr. Fenter, Assistant Superintendent of Oceanside School District NY, wrote “I was touched that you thought of us, and we appreciate the generosity of your faculty, students, and families in supporting the “other” Oceanside on the East Coast. Although our school district sustained much damage from the storm and had many supplies destroyed, we have also been blessed by the generosity of those who have reached out and donated books, supplies, money, and prayers to help us during this difficult time. It’s such an uplifting example of how we can reach out and help others in time of need….” Way to go South Oceanside Seahawks --- you have made a positive difference in the world!!! girls on the run
